Fairuza Balk. California-born Balk began acting from a very early age – which is no surprise considering she came from a home where artistry and expression no doubt ruled, given that her father, who is a travelling folk musician, was one of the founding members of the 60s psychedelic rock band Kaleidoscope, and her mother has studied, performed, and taught the ethnic and traditional dance forms of many countries such as Egypt, Turkey, Morocco and Spain. Her breakout role came in the form of Nancy Downs in every 90s girl’s favourite film, The Craft. She also appeared in other 90s classics like Waterboy, the masterful powerhouse American History X and The Island of Dr. Moreau. A few years later, she released a single under the name ‘Armed Love Militia’ called Stormwinds. More recently, you’ll see her appearing in Showtime’s Ray Donovan as Ginger alongside Jon Voight and Liev Schrieber.
Melissa Joan Hart. As a long-term employee of TV channel Nickelodeon, she appeared in two of the most 90s shows you will ever, ever see: Clarissa Knows it All and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. More recently, after marrying musician Mark Wilkerson and having three boys, she starred in Melissa and Joey, which ran from 2010 to 2015. Nowadays, she is a Republican supporter, a memoir writer, a fashion designer and a failed candy store owner, talk about adding strings to your bow!
