Selma Blair. The name alone congers thoughts of a better, simpler time. Selma Blair was a mainstay in the mind of the 90s zeitgeist and made a name for herself initially as a result of that kiss with Sarah Michelle Geller in Cruel Intentions. Do not be fooled however, because she has been in a lot more than just one never-endingly rewound kissing scene. She appeared in 90s archetypal sitcom Friends, Brown Requiem, for which she received her first glimpse of recognition in 1998 and the sitcom Zoe. As the millennium dawned, she appeared in films such as Legally Blonde, Down to You, and the Sweetest Thing. More recently she is remembered for playing Liz Sherman in the B-comic classic Hellboy and the sequel. She also appeared in Charlie Sheen’s ‘screw you Chuck Lorre’ vehicle Anger Management. Though she has been quieter in recent years, she’s always kept busy, with her most recent role being the part of Kris Jenner in the modern classic TV series The People vs. OJ Simpson.
Tiffani Amber Thiessen. The ever-green beauty and Long Beach native Tiffani Amber Thiessen was arguably the 90s pin up for teenage boys. Remembered as Zack’s Girlfriend Kelly Kapowski in Saved by the Bell, her striking, all-American-girl looks and profile seemed to suggest that big things were on the horizon for her, but sadly such a destiny never seemed to materialise. Mind you, she has never been out of work. Most recently, she has managed to swing herself her own cooking show on the Cooking Channel called Dinner at Tiffani’s.
