Blockbusters is a gameshow in which contestants answer trivia questions to complete a path across or down a game board of hexagons. The programme first aired in 1983 on ITV and ran for ten series, ending in 1993.

The show made a comeback in the 00’s with Simon Mayo presenting, but ended in 2012.

8) Bullseye17 of the best 90s Gameshows

Bullseye is a British gameshow television programme, with a darts theme. It was first made for the ITV in 1981. Bullseyes was hosted by comedian and TV presenter Jim Bowen.

British comedian, Peter Kay comically ridiculed the show during one of his live tours.

7) Fort Boyard17 of the best 90s Gameshows

Fort Boyard was filmed at an actual Fort in France. The gameshow saw contestants complete challenges to win money. The challenges focussed on physicality and endurance.

The UK version was originally hosted by Melinda Messenger and Leslie Grantham, with the ‘Professor’.
