BBC One broadcast Peter Kay’s Car Share series 2 tonight and fans of the show have taken to social media to share their reviews and excitement at seeing John and Kayleigh return – not forgetting John’s memorable Fiat 500L.
The first episode saw a change in scenarios for Kayleigh, who has moved house since we last saw the pair together and commutes by bus, but that hasn’t stopped the pair from keeping in touch via a series of continually interrupted phone calls.
John’s run in with an arrogant cyclist had fans falling off their chairs laughing as the well-known Cyclist v Driver scenario turns into a perfectly executed comedy sketch.
Fans were also quick to spot Elbow’s Guy Garvey, who played Steve. Many weren’t sure whether it was the One Day Like This singer, but we can confirm after watching the credits that it indeed was the Elbow front man.

The full four episodes are now available on BBC iPlayer for your viewing pleasure, or alternatively you can wait for it to air on BBC One at 9pm for the next three Tuesdays.
Will Kayleigh manage to live with her sister permanently, or could romance be on the cards for the two Car Sharers? We’ll have to wait and see.
