Peter Kay’s Car Share to be re-aired on BBC One this February
The popular car-based sitcom will return to screens in full, preparing viewers for the up and coming second series this summer
Car Share made its debut in April 2015, first airing on BBC iPlayer. The comedy series formed part of a new BBC trial to premiere 40 hours of content on iPlayer, before being broadcast on TV.

The series, when released on iPlayer, brought in viewing figures of over 2.8m, with episode one pulling in 1 million alone.
Car Share then made its television debut on April 29th 2015, with 6.85 million viewers tuning in. Kay’s reward for the comedy came in 2016, when the show won the best scripted comedy award at the BAFTAS.The first series will re-air from Wednesday, February 22nd at 10:45pm on BBC One and BBC One HD, in preparation for the second series, which will land in the Summer.
Series two has been confirmed to be four episodes, rather than six as in series one. The second series of the popular sitcom will air on BBC iPlayer in its entirety in May 2017, before following up on BBC One a few days later.
