The bar scene from Only Fools and Horses is iconic. If you did not know it already, you will not be surprised to learn that Del Boy falling through the bar hatch was voted the funniest scene in British comedy. You can watch it an unlimited amount of times and it will always remain hilarious!

Of course, the credit has to go to Only Fools writer John Sullivan, the production team and the actors, Sir David Jason and Roger Lloyd-Pack. Sir David has spoke of the bar scene of how he and John Sullivan developed the idea and we learn it was inspired by a real life incident the latter witnessed.

This is a fantastic small story from David Jason. Enjoy!

Did you know: The Bar scene was named the 7th Greatest TV Moment of all time in a 1999 Channel 4 poll, beating  JFK’s assassination, the Queen’s coronation and Winston Churchill’s funeral.
