John Arne Riise has joined in on the ‘Steven Gerrard’ debate, raised by El Hadji Diouf.
John Arne Riise, who played at Liverpool alongside Gerrard for seven years, has let his feelings be clear on the situation and has destroyed Diouf in 140 characters.
The Senegalese slammed the former Liverpool captain on Live TV and stated “When I arrived [at Liverpool] I showed him he was nothing at all. He was nothing at all.”

Riise, having seen the media circle surrounding the comments, took to Twitter to share his opinion on the matter and absolutely nailed it.

The left back, who currently plays for Chennaiyin F.C. in the Indian Super League wrote: “Diouf talking again Zzzzz.. Like Gerrard was afraid of looking into his eyes and talking to him. Yeah good one dude. 50/50 tackle please”.
Riise played at Liverpool alongside El Hadji Diouf between 2002 and 2005, where the pair won the League Cup.
