Anthony Le Tallec

Le Tallec joined Liverpool in 2001, alongside Sinama-Pongolle, his cousin and teammate at Le Havre AC, after some impressive performances in both the UEFA European Under-16 Championship and the FIFA Under-17 World Championship.

The player failed to impress new boss Rafael Benitez and found himself the subject of a handful of loan moves away from Anfield , before finally signing a permanent deal with Le Mans in 2008.

He spent two years with the French club before moving to Auxerre in 2010 after they were relegated. Two years later, he signed for Valenciennes, before leaving to play for Greek side Atromitos in 2015, where he is currently signed. He cited the main reason for his move being the chance to play in the UEFA Europa League.

Florent Sinama-Pongolle

Sinama Pongolle, along with his cousin Anthony Le Tallec, was signed from Le Havre AC by Liverpool, after some impressive performances in both the UEFA European Under-16 Championship and the FIFA Under-17 World Championship.

The Frenchman appeared sporadically for the Reds during his time at the club, but could never impose himself on the first team.

Pongolle left Anfield in 2006 and enjoyed success with Recreativo before landing a move to Atletico Madrid to play back up to Diego Forlan and Sergio Aguero.

He later moved to Portugal to perform for Sporting but found himself loaned out before terminating his contract after two years.

A move to Russia followed his stint at the Portuguese club, before he travelled to the USA, Switzerland, Scotland and finally Thailand, where he still performs today – at Chainat Hornbill F.C.
