Peter Kay has announced his third Charity Q&A in aid of the Kyle Buckley and Polly Haydock Funds
The comedian will host the Very Special Charity Q&A at the o2 Manchester Apollo on the 15th of July, 2017, which will be the third event he has staged in aid of Polly Haydock and the first in aid of Kyle Buckley, who are both suffering from cancer.
Kay first announced a fundraiser just before Christmas 2016, which he held at the Blackpool Opera House. The demand for tickets was such that he added a second date the following night. The Bolton funnyman then performed a second Q&A at the same venue in May 2017, to raise more money for the Polly Haydock fund.
Polly Haydock has stage 4 colorectal cancer and the treatment she requires is not available in the UK. Polly’s family are desperately trying to raise funds to allow her to travel to America to receive the vital treatment she needs to beat the disease.
Peter Kay, from his two shows to date, has raised more than £150,000 to help send Polly, a super-fan of his, across the Atlantic for the life-saving treatment.
However with the treatment costing so much money, Kay has stepped in once again to raise more funds to help Haydock beat her cancer battle. This time he has booked out the 3,500 capacity Manchester Apollo in a bid to reach a wider audience and raise even more money than before.
The Charity Q&A set for July is not only in aid of Polly Haydock, but also young fellow Boltonian Kyle Buckley, 11, who has a rare muscle tissue cancer. Kyle has previously beaten the disease twice with intensive chemotherapy, but the cancer has returned.
This is the second time the Buckley family have been struck by cancer. Kyle’s father died from bowel cancer, when his son was just 9 months old.
News broke of the Charity Q&A via Peter Kay’s Social Media pages, announcing that he will perform on the 15th of July, however there will be scope for a second night if the first one sells out quickly.
The announcement read: “Announcing A Very Special Charity Q&A on 15/07/17 @O2ApolloManc All Profits to The Kyle Buckley Fund & The Polly Haydock Funds on sale Fri”.
Tickets for the show are available from Ticketmaster and See Tickets and go on sale at 9am on Friday, June 30th 2017.

Peter Kay has a great history of interacting with his audience an fans. During a show in the build up to his record breaking tour, he conversed with a heckler whilst making the whole audience laugh.
Kay couldn’t understand her and decided to bring her down to the stage to chat, which everybody including her loved. Watch the clip below.
