Peter Kay played Jason in a one-off Mrs Brown's Boys DVD Movie

Bolton comedian, Peter Kay was originally cast in the television adaptation of popular BBC comedy, Mrs Brown’s Boys. He played the character of Jason, a very eccentric Travel Agent.

Mrs Brown’s Boys first came to light in the early 2000’s, with a series of seven straight-to-DVD movie. Leading man Brendan O’Carroll refers to these as Mrs Brown’s Home Videos. Scroll down for video.

Peter Kay performed in one of these, playing an eccentric travel agent, who’s tasked with trying to book Mrs Brown a holiday to Canada. The title character is hoping to visit her sister, but has evidently little experience with booking such adventures.

Kay plays Irishman, Jason, who becomes more and more flustered with Agnes’ lack of detail when trying to book the Canada trip. At one point the travel agent loses his cool and completely drops the Irish accent – opting for his natural Bolton tone.

Peter Kay returned the favour to Brendan O’Carroll, for his role in Mrs Brown’s Boys, by casting him in episode one of Max & Paddy’s Road to Nowhere.
