Peter Kay delighted fans today when he boarded a sightseeing tour bus in the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The Car Share star and comedian was in the city visiting family when he hopped on board one of the city’s sightseeing tour buses.
Kay posed happily for photos with fans and openly talked to fellow passengers as he enjoyed a tour across the historic sights of the city, reports BelfastLive.
The comedians roots are firmly in Northern Ireland with his mother Deirdre hailing from Coalisland, Co Tyrone – where many of her own family still reside. This is often the butt of the 43-year olds jokes, mimicking her Irish accent whilst exclaiming that she’s “not even Irish”.
It was from his Northern Irish connections that he drew inspiration for his fictional character Geraldine McQueen.
Following his bus tour, the comedian was pictured in Cafe Uno with staff and customers alike.
A spokesperson for City Sightseeing tours Belfast told BelfastLive the comic loved the tour and had a laugh with staff and fans as they explored Belfast.
