The accounts of stand-up Comedian Peter Kay have been released and they make for mouth-watering viewing. The Bolton-born funnyman owns and runs two companies, Good Night Vienna Productions and Hussein Traders.
Companies House released their latest accounts information, yesterday, revealing that both companies are possession of a combined £27.7 million.
Kay is regarded as Britains wealthiest comic, with a £1.3m net worth increase since last years figures were released.
A show-business source said: ‘Peter Kay is probably Britain’s richest comedian,’
‘He easily makes more than the vast majority of pop stars.
‘What’s fascinating is that he makes all that cash in the UK. He’s never even attempted to try his luck in the States.’
Peter Kay’s stand-up comedy “tour that didn’t tour” tour was officially added into the Guinness World Records as the most successful of all time. The comedian performed to more than 1.2 million people, in a run that spanned two years.
Kay is performing in Blackpool on Thursday and Friday at a LIVE Q&A, to discuss his career in comedy, acting and television. The gigs are in aid of Polly Haydock, who is from his hometown and suffering from a rare illness.
The funnyman is also set to release the latest series of his popular Car Share, which fans have witnessed being filmed throughout the year. His wealth will likely rocket further, with fans eager for their favourite northerner to return to screens across the country.
