Chateauneuf du-Pape! The top most watched programmes in Britain over the last 80 years have been revealed and Only Fools and Horses has dominated the list, featuring four times.

At the top, the classic sitcom unsurprisingly takes this spot. 24.35 million people tuned in on 29 December 1996 to witness the Trotter brothers finally become millionaires in the episode Time on Our Hands.

Fourth spot has Panorama sitting in this position. This was the show aired on 20 November 1995 and 22.80 million people tuned into watch the infamous interview with Princess Diana, conducted by Martin Bashir.

Other shows that feature are Coronation Street, The Royal Variety Performance and Dallas, all surpassing 20 million viewers.
