Piers Morgan received an unsuspecting clout this morning, after Richard Arnold whacked him on the back of his head.
Richard Arnold today slapped Good Morning Britain colleague, Piers Morgan over the back of the head after the outspoken host jumped up to walk-off the set. Scroll down for video.
The trio, including Susanna were discussing the latest Star Wars movie – Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – which Piers Morgan isn’t a fan of. Upon linking away from the Good Morning Britain sofa, Richard Arnold began reading a piece to camera, stood up, when Piers Jumped up and walked over.
Morgan stood in front of the camera that Richard was talking into and shouted “I don’t get it”. But before he could finish his rant, Richard viciously thwacked him around the head with his right hand, causing a almighty slapping sound.
Piers, later in the show, suggested Richard Arnold should be sacked. He said to co-host Susanna: “He’s attacked me in the work place. I’m actually feeling pain and a certain amount of stress.”

Show guest, Len Goodman watched the clip and suggested Arnold should “get the elbow” for the unprovoked attack.
Piers Morgan isn’t ever far from a feud and was subject to an attack a few years ago, when he and Jeremy Clarkson clashed. Morgan is also a presence on Social Media, with BBC Match of the Day presenter, Gary Lineker a keen challenger of his views.
