Heartbreak for teen singer, Sarah Morgan as she completely forgets the lyrics to her song

The Voice UK contestant, Sarah Morgan lost her place on the show after forgetting the lyrics during the LIVE quarter-finals on Saturday night.

Sixteen-year-old Sarah is one of the youngest competing singers on this years The Voice UK.

In an attempt to prove her ability and progress to the coveted Semi-Finals, the singer chose to sing Royals by Lorde.

Sarah started off strong, but come the chorus the youngster had forgotten the lyrics and began gesturing her hand in place of singing.

Despite the unfortunate mishap, the brilliant teen carried on her performance until the end gaining a rapturous applause from the audience.

The mind-blank appeared to dampen her performance hereafter, which was duly noted by judges Gavin Rossdale, Jennifer Hudson and, but they didn’t slam her for it. The judging panel offered the young talent some words of wisdom for the future, with Jennifer saying: “Never let anything stop you. Keep it up. What you feel we’ll feel.”

Gavin added: “It doesn’t go right all the time for all of us, but stay happy because you recovered perfect, you sounded great on the song.”

Unfortunately for Sarah, her run in the show ended at the Quarter-Final stage as the public vote was not enough to progress her further.

Another account put: “I came over all Mother Hen when I saw Sarah going all quiet and upset at the end of her song. I just want to hug her. #thevoiceuk.”

“Felt so sorry for Sarah on #thevoiceuk could be amazing if she just had some confidence in herself, glad the judges are supportive!” a different user said.

While another person added: “To recover herself and carry on with such poise, at such a young age is no easy feat; she should be proud #thevoiceuk#teamgavin #sarah.”

The Semi-finalists include Jason Jones, Into the Ark, Truly Ford, Mo Adeniran, Craig Ward, Max Vickers, Jamie Miller and Michelle John.
