Rangers Striker, Martyn Waghorn was left with his tail between his legs after confronting a fiftenn-year old Schoolboy, who called him Sh*te.
Waghorn was out for Lunch in Glasgow, when the plucky schoolboy shouted to him from a safe distance. But, facing adversity head on, for Sunderland player Waghorn stormed over and demanded the lad to say it to his face. Watch the brilliant footage below.
Martyn Waghorn, with fish and chips in one hand, followed the teenage boy as he walked away with his friends. He demanded the teen repeat what he shouted when a safe distance away.
The teen shy’ed away a little, before muttering the words “Yeah, you’re sh*te”.
The Footballer, who must have thought the teen would apologise, backed down and walked off, saying “good man”.
Who is Martyn Waghorn?
Martyn Waghorn is a 26-year old striker who plays for Scottish club, Rangers.
Waghorn started his senior career with Sunderland, before moving to Leicester City in 2009 on loan. The loan move was made permanent in 2010. At Leicester City, Waghorn made a total of 102 league appearances, scoring 20 goals.
Struggling to secure a first team place with the Foxes, Waghorn was loaned out to Hull City, Milwall and Wigan Athletic respectively. The striker found a home at the DW Stadium and made his move permanent in 2014.
During his spell with Wigan Athletic, Martyn Waghorn made 38 league appearances, scoring eight goals.
The South Shields born forward moved to Rangers in 2015, where he has excelled. To date, Waghorn has made 32 league appearances, scoring 21 goals. This gives the player a stat of scoring 0.65 goals every game.
Rangers are currently third in the Scottish Premiership, having played 12 games and accruing 20 points. City rivals Celtic are top of the table, with Aberdeen separating the two in second.
