SIR Bruce Forsyth is apparently recovering well and laughing again after his recent health scare, according to his close friend and comedian Jimmy Tarbuck.
The legendary Brtish presenter, 89, spent five days in an intensive care unit earlier in March after coming down with a severe chest infection.
However comedian Tarbuck visited the former Strictly star at his home this week and has since reassured fans that “Brucie” is on the mend.
He said: “It was just good to see him. Wilnelia [Bruce’s wife] made some sandwiches and a nice pot of tea and we just reminisced and blethered and laughed. He’s getting there.”
Tarbuck, 77 has been friends with the presenter for over 50 years and was keen to point out that Sir Bruce’s issues are common for men of his age
He added: “He had a fall and a fall doesn’t do you any good at any age. But he’s at an age where it took a bit out of him.”
Originally the news broke that light entertainment legend Sir Bruce Forsyth had been rushed to an intensive care unit t after being taken ill with a severe chest infection.
In recent years, Sir Bruce has suffered multiple health issues – including a fall in 2015 which saw him rushed to hospital, which was followed by surgery for two life-threatening aneurysms after tests were carried out as a result of his fall.
