There must have been something pretty special about Danielle Nicholls, as she was picked from 900 applicants to present CITV alongside Stephen Mulhern in 1998. The channel rewarded her with some big name interviews such as Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, and also gave her the gig for shows such as Mad For It and Diggit.
Since departing in 2001, Nicholls has done the odd bit of TV work here and there for Channel 5 and Sky, as well as making guest appearances on programmes including programmes including Trisha, This Morning, and Dick & Dom in da Bungalow. The 38-year-old can currently be heard on Salford City Radio every Tuesday from 6pm alongside her sister Jodie.
Like Danielle and Arthur, Andrea Green provided the links between programmes on CITV but must have felt as though it wasn’t for her as stayed with the channel for just over ten months.
She moved into acting following her departure, but can still only be seen on our screens sparsely. Andrea has had one-off appearances in EastEnders, Footballers’ Wives and Casualty, but undoubtedly her greatest achievement came in Doctors, where she played receptionist Sarah Finch for two years and won Best Newcomer at the British soap Awards for her role in 2005.
